As the old saying goes “necessity is the mother of all invention”. Founders of Skinnywater Products, Glenn Williams and Andy Meinhardt, have spent a lifetime on the water. Born and raised on the vast and beautiful waters of the St. Marks river and flats in the Florida Panhandle, loaded with creeks, estuaries, oyster beds, and grass flats, these guys know backwater fishing like the back of their hands. They also know, first hand, the rigors of fishing these sometimes tricky terrains. After years of using other products in their pursuit of Redfish, Snook, trout, mullet, bream, crappies … they know what works and what doesn’t.

Metal fabricators by trade they applied their professional skills to produce some of the best equipment for flats, lakes and backwater fishing on the face of the earth. After designing and building some of this equipment they started getting “unsolicited” requests to build their products for countless guides and fishermen in the Florida Panhandle. Due to the demand and the desire to offer “the best quality products at a price the common man could afford.” Skinnywater Products was formed and the rest, as they say is history!
